How can steel processors precisely saw their products, save space when storing them, and manage operations even more efficiently? KASTO will answer these questions at EuroBLECH, from October 22 to 25, in Hanover (Hall 13, Stand E-169).

Precise processing, efficient use of space and automation – these three principles summarize the solutions KASTO will showcase at this year’s EuroBLECH. The company's high-precision saws ensure that workpieces meet the required specifications, while well-designed storage systems maximize available space and enable quick material access. Automated storage systems and robots increase efficiency, reduce errors, and speed up processes. The warehouse management software, KASTOlogic, integrates storage operations seamlessly, enabling optimized inventory management and traceability.

At EuroBLECH, the sawing and storage specialist will present the KASTOmicut E 4.6,

a manual swing frame band saw. It allows users to cut round material up to 335 mm in diameter and flat material up to 460 × 335 mm. With the option for mitre cuts of up to 60 degrees can be made on one side, depending on material geometry and dimensions. A standout feature is the feed vice, which can be precisely positioned using a ball screw drive and round guide, enabling accurate section lengths. The full cladding, consisting of robust sheet metal and a light curtain, effectively protects operators working on the band saw. A rotating control panel also ensures optimal ergonomics. Digitalised sheet metal processing

In the SmartSolutions Corner, KASTO will present its extensive product portfolio for innovative solutions, material handling and service. Trade fair visitors will be able to see first-hand what KASTO’s programs can do. These include, for example, the warehouse management system KASTOlogic, the straight and mitre cut optimisation system KASTOoptisaw and KASTOenergysave, which allows other consumers in the warehouse system to use excess kinetic energy from storage and retrieval machines.

Space-saving and flexible: KASTO sheet metal storage systems

KASTO optimally adapts its storage systems to the specific requirements of sheet metal processing. Operators can store the materials in a space-saving manner and access them quickly and safely. KASTO offers various options from tower storage to fully automatic longitudinal storage systems. One example is KASTOecostore sheet metal.

This tower storage system is available in heights from three to eight metres and stores sheets, pallets and other flat materials with dimensions up to 1,524 × 3,048 millimetres. Users can choose between variable, modular pallet supports for different loading dimensions, from 50 to 950 millimetres, to maximize space utilization. The integrated lifting gear brings the load-handling equipment to the optimum loading and unloading height, meaning that users don’t need an industrial truck to retrieve the cassettes. Frequency converters control the drive technology and ensure energy-efficient operation. The comprehensive safety concept prevents malfunctions and avoids costly downtime.
